Week 11 – TouchDesigner Project: on hold??

I eagerly started my “final” TouchDesigner Project when disaster struck!

The screen of death. I had been working on it when it decided it wanted to crash. I thought it was a fluke the first time but then I tried it a couple more times. I could not work on it real-time without it crashing after about two minutes.

My project is currently on hold as I try to fix this problem. I do want to note that I am combining two different tutorials I was learning from and I was in the process of deconstructing to construct exactly what I wanted to do. I knew that my focus for this final project was going to do with Kinetic Typography as well as audio reactivity. I want to add a feature where the user inputs the song they want to choose plus being able to change the text that is seen on the screen.

I want to fine-tune the background visual as I have not had a chance to change it as well as the type of typography visuals the user can choose from.

I suspect that my laptop keeps crashing since I am using the Mac version of Touchdesigner. Using a Windows computer would have been ideal but as I do not own one, I am doing the best I can do!

I will update this with my progress in fixing my file as I move forward but I am also starting to think about what I want to do as my “final project.” My next blog post will be about what I am thinking of doing there.
